Obituary

Beau Kristin Grauer, 50, of Memphis, TN, left us on Sunday, July 24, 2022.

He is survived by his sons, Ayden, Cannon, and Eli Grauer, their mother Wendy Grauer, his beloved dog Axel, his parents Gail and Kevin Grauer, siblings Paige, brother-in-law Ty Taylor, Shea, sister-in-law Liz Grauer, Sean, sister-in-law Elaina Grauer and his nephews Ian Grauer, Kade Taylor, and nieces Demi and Sophia Grauer, Reese and Parker McLean.

Beau will be forever loved and forever remembered, just the way he would want it. He loved live music, a well-worn pair of cowboy boots, denim shirts, hunting, being outdoors, and was never one to pass up a cold Budweiser……for anyone that he may owe a beer, look for him in heaven, he'll be glad to let you buy him one. It is tragic the way we lost him but he would not want us to be sad, he expects us to raise a glass and tell all of his best stories.

Even from a young age, the world seemed a little brighter when he was around. He was never at a loss for words, always quick with a joke or to drop a sarcastic Beauism. He always had a story and had a knack for telling it like it was but he was also soft-hearted and felt your pain or sorrow. He could sit quietly with you or wrap you up in one of his big bear hugs. When he walked into a room he owned it, Beau never lacked confidence, he thought he could do anything and was never afraid to try.

Beau was a natural-born salesman, he was very persuasive and had a sixth sense about when and how to get a deal closed. His charisma was his superpower. He loved construction sales but his greatest accomplishment was his three sons, he would always brag that they were the absolute best of him, and he was honored to be their dad. Beau taught his boys to look a person in the eye, introduce themselves with confidence, have a firm handshake, hold the door for their mother, and say yes sir or yes ma'am, in short, make Maw-Maw proud.

Beau loved our family and loved that he was the youngest of the three infamous Grauer brothers, though after he turned 40 he was often mistaken as the oldest. The salt and pepper snuck up on him but like everything else he owned it too.

We all wish we could turn back time but all the roads we have to walk are winding and he has to go on without us for now. We are so grateful to have shared fifty years with our Beau, he was incredibly special to our family and there are no words to describe our grief but even in this moment of deep sorrow, it was truly a gift to know and love him.
