Annie Frances
Roberts Trott
Nov 28, 1930 — Mar 19, 2021
Memphis
Annie Frances Roberts Trott, 90, passed away peacefully at her home in Memphis, Tennessee on March 19, 2021. A Celebration of Life / Memorial Service will be held at a future date to be determined. She will be interred at St. Peter's Cemetery in Oxford, Mississippi and lie in rest beside her parents, Mary and Hubert Roberts; her sister, Mary Nell Roberts; and her grandson, Tanner Robbins.
Born November 28, 1930 in Durant, Mississippi, Annie grew up in Oxford. She graduated from University High School and enrolled at Ole Miss, earning a Bachelor of Science in Home Economics. After getting married and starting a family, she went on to earn a Master's Degree in Social Work from Tulane University. She held several jobs performing Counseling and Social Work with practices in Memphis and Oxford before setting into a career job with Jewish Family Services in Memphis as a full time staff Counselor and Social Worker. After her retirement she developed a portfolio of residential rental properties that she independently managed for 30 years.
Mom or Memaw as she was lovingly called by her children and grandchildren had a wonderful outlook on life and loved "get togethers" with family and friends. She had a kind and generous heart and a beautiful spirit. Her sincere interest in others was exemplary and was demonstrated by her kindness, straight-forwardness and ability to love and help others selflessly.
She is survived by her two children; Steven Richard Trott and Caren Adair Trott Robbins (George); four grandchildren, Zachary, Connor, Preston, and Bryce; and one great grandchild, Ella Jane. She also leaves behind her Boyfriend, Irwin Rumler; and her loyal pup, Sweetie Pie. A special thank you to her caregivers and especially Jeanette Burkes and Crossroads Hospice who were a great help and comfort in her final days.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation or the Memphis Humane Society.
